Molly Brydie

Mathew Merrett is a photographer who is known for his Decay photography. His style of decay fits well with my overall topic of ruins. Looking at Merretts work his entire body of work features abandoned buildings, many of his images are of corridors in the different buildings these tend to have either a radial composition or a symmetrical either way the main point of focus f the centre of the image.  Merritt has editied one of his image to black and white that similar to the work of Godwin by doingt his it almost gives the image a more creepy feel.  I will use Merrett’s style of photography to help develop my own ideas. I will take a photoshoot that features an abandoned building as well as editing some of them to a black and white colour palette. This will help ensure that I link to my photoshoot to Merrett’s theme and style of his work.
