Molly Brydie

Stephen Gill is photographer who is most known for his experimental and minimal photographs of East London, attention to small details. Many of his photographs he taken are in east London of Stephen going about his daily life and are taken using an old camera so the images are of a poor quality. With his images he has then over laid different plant life such as flowers, leafs, pond life and even insects. This gives his images texture and by using plant life as an over lay to poor quality photographs it gives it almost a life like feel. Many of his images have a radial composition. To create similar styles of images I will have to develop my ideas and use lots of experimentation with different types of images and plant life. Hopefully with this experimentation I will achieve the making my images seem livelier and life like that similar of Gill's work.
