Photoshoot 2

I had explored the abandoned cake factory in Hartlepool. The idea/concept behind this photoshoot was to capture different elements of Ruins. I had taken this photoshoot at midday however it was very cloudy so this did not allow me very much light and it was also very windy, so I could not take very many images, as it was too dangerous. I have chosen to analyse my first image, I had edited the curves on this image to help lighten the colours of the graffiti on the wall as they were too dark and by doing this it has made the graffiti the main focus of the image. I had taken this image at an off centre angle giving the image an asymmetrical composition, this was to capture the graffiti on the wall as well as the rubbish and roof ruins on the floor.

The idea/concept behind my second image was to capture a radial composition; I feel I have achieved a radial composition in the image, as the main focus is the centre of the image. I had edited the curves on this image to lighten up the light parts in the image and to darken the darker parts in the image as it has created a contrast between the left and right side of the image as the left side is very well lit where as the right side has a darker shadow and both of these contrasts are down the centre of the image making the centre the point of focus. I had taken this image at a straight angle as this captured a linear perspective.  The engagement with the subject is direct and distant. I am pleased with they way some of my images have tunred out, but to develop this photoshoot further I could have re-visited this site on a different day to capture more images with and experimented with different angles.
