Photoshoot 3

I had explored an abandoned house in Hartlepool. The idea/concept behind this photoshoot was to capture any elements of Ruins and related it to my overall topic of ruins; I had taken this photoshoot before noon so there was some lighting but not as much if I had taken this shoot later in the day. I have chosen to analyse my first image, I had taken this image at this close-up angle as I wanted to capture the contrast between the both sides of the image as the left side blurry and with dark colours where as the right side is clear and a bright colour so this creates a contrast and as the contrast is on either sides of the image, it makes the centre the main focus of the image, creating a symmetrical composition. The engagement with the subject matter is close-up.

The idea/concept of my second image was to capture the outside of the building through the broken window; I feel this was successful because it captures not only the window but also the outside. This has created a contrast between the light and dark places in the image, which also this gives the image an asymmetrical composition because the broken glass in the image is places of the left side of the image. I had edited the curves on this image to darken up the whole image overall to match my artist research. I am pleased with the way a few of my images have turned out however to then develop this photoshoot further I could have taken more macro images.
