Photoshoot 1

Image 1

I had explored Seascale in the Lake District. The idea\concepts behind this photoshoot was to capture different parts of the Lake District and relate them to my overall topic of ruins. I have chosen to analyse my first image, I had taken this image at the coast of seascale at midday which allowed me a large space a time and lots of good lighting during the shoot. I had edited this image to black and white, as it would fit more with my artist research. With the image is black and white it has created a contrast between the dark pier and the sea/sky due to the lighter background it has made all of the darker parts in the image such as the pier the main focus. The engagement of the subject matter is direct. I had taken this image at this angle to capture the entire pier with it also being in the centre of the image.

My idea/ concept of my second image was to capture the mountains surrounding the lake. I had taken this image after noon however at this time it was cloudy but this allowed me lots of time and some good lighting with some shadows in my images.  I had edited this image to black and white to help fit with my artist research. I had taken this image at this angle because I wanted to capture the contrast between the three mountains as the centre mountain has more lighting compared to the other parts of the image, which makes this the main point of focus.  I am happy with the way images have turned out, but to develop this photoshoot further I could have used more experimentation with my images with experimenting with double exposure and editing my images.
