Photoshoot 9
I had explored the abandoned mill in Bradford, this was built in 1871 and was used to supply Mohair, which is wool that as make from goats hair. The idea/concept behind this photoshoot was to capture different elements of Ruins. I had taken this photoshoot late in the afternoon so there was some lighting but not enough so in some of my images I had to use the camera flash for extra lighting. I could not get inside of the building as it was blocked off and was too dangerous to get in. I had edited the curves on the image to make the shadows in the outer edges of the images darker and the centre of the image light, by doing this it has create a radial composition. Making the centre of the image the main point of focus. The engagement of the subject matter is distant. I had taken the image at a straight angle, as I wanted to capture the elements of ruins at this site.
I have chosen to analyse my second image, I had taken this image of the outside of the building as I could not get inside the building, I had edited the curves on the image to darken the image overall to give the image a dark mood/ atmosphere. The image was taken at this angle to capture the outside of the building I wanted to capture the inside of the building through the windows but because the image was taken some distance away, you’re unable to see the inside of the building. I am happy with the way this photoshoot has turned out despite not being able to enter the building, to develop my images further I could have taken more images of the outside to give a larger range of images.
